Networking Proves Fruitful at Manchester’s BNI Graphene City Event
Last week saw Daviker’s Dan St. Clair attend the BNI Graphene city event in Manchester, for some unmissable networking opportunities. The event aims to unite some of the brightest minds in business and drive development through referrals, and offers instruction on marketing training.
Senior Project Manager Dan attended as a guest to detail Daviker’s contact centre services, and after just one session has successfully generated a referral. Other attendees included some up-and-coming local entrepreneurs, as well as key decision makers from Manchester’s most successful and respected businesses.
The event was hosted at Manchester’s iconic and opulent Freemasons’ Hall on Bridgwater Street. Business Network International (BNI) welcomes companies from many sectors and this particular session was host to a broad spectrum of business, including iNarrator, Red Cow Media, Mercedes-Benz and the Apprentice Academy. Those in attendance also enjoyed stories of success from David O’Hearns, Creative Director at DAWN and Grant Erksine, the director of Grant Erksine Architects.
BNI is the world’s largest business referrals organisation, with over 160,000 members worldwide. In 2014 alone, these members generated over £5.6 billion of business for each other, with over £409 million of that in the UK and Irish economies.
Last year, in the region of Manchester, local entrepreneurs shared £10.5 million of new business. This comes in at an average of £54,000 each. It’s these figures that prove events like BNI’s are vital for business success – opportunities not to be missed – which is why we are now considered officially joining the group and attending each week.
It’s always a pleasure attending networking events, and BNI Graphene was no exception. In a room full of people who are top of their respective fields, it’s hard not to be inspired. Daviker would like to thank BNI for their hospitality – and we’ll see you again soon!
