Our First Donation To Wood Street Mission

/ Charity

We’re thrilled to have handed over a cheque for £500 to local charity Wood Street Mission.

As the trusted suppliers of complete telecommunication solutions to many bluechip organisations, last month we challenged businesses to undergo a no-obligation telecoms review. The assessments were carried out to see how we could implement or improve telecoms systems for new and existing customers. As an added incentive, we pledged to donate £100 to Wood Street Mission for every evaluation conducted, regardless of the outcome. The reviews have been a great success with us demonstrating savings of thousands of pounds per year for each customer.

Dave Fricker, Daviker Managing Director enthused “We believe wholeheartedly in our products and want to see them being used in as many companies as possible, hence the free reviews. As our business grows from strength to strength, we want to share some of our success with the people of Manchester and could think of no better way than supporting a local charity. Wood Street Mission really struck a chord with us and we’re thrilled to be making our first donation of £500 to them.”

Wood Street Mission is a registered children’s charity who support children and families in Manchester and Salford living in poverty. They offer part of an overall support package and through their 5 different projects they provide clothing, school uniforms, book clubs, Easter eggs, Christmas presents and food hampers. Their vision is that all children in Manchester and Salford should live a poverty-free life and they use their projects to help people achieve this.

Dave commented “The vision of Wood Street Mission is an important one, particularly as we find ourselves in challenging economic times. Since the banking meltdown, an increasing number of families are finding themselves in financial difficulties and its charities like Wood Street Mission who come to their assistance and offer them that valuable lifeline in their hour of need. We applaud the work they do and hope our contributions will help local families look to a brighter future.”

Over the course of the year we plan to carry out further campaigns so hope that this will be our first donation of many.
